Structural features:
Frame: It is generally a beam type structure, and the longitudinal
beam is flat or gooseneck. The longitudinal beam is the main
bearing part, and its material is mostly high-strength steel to
ensure the bearing capacity of the vehicle and the resistance to
distortion, earthquake and turbulence. The height of the web is
usually from 400mm to 550mm, the longitudinal beams are welded with
automatic submerged arc welding, welding is strong and high
quality, and the frame is also shot peening to enhance its surface
strength and corrosion resistance.
Suspension system: Usually the use of tandem leaf spring and
suspension support composed of non-independent steel stamping type
rigid suspension, some high-end models can also be optional air
suspension. The suspension system has a reasonable structure,
strong rigidity and strength, and can support the load and slow
down the impact generated during the driving process to ensure the
driving stability of the vehicle and the safe transportation of
goods.
Axles and tires: Equipped with different numbers and specifications
of axles and tires according to the load requirements of the
vehicle. Common have two axes, three axes, etc., the number of
tires is correspondingly 4, 6 or more. The choice of tires is also
very important, and it needs to have good wear resistance, bearing
capacity and grip to adapt to various road conditions.
Size specification:
Length: The length of the flat semi-trailer is 13 meters, and there
are other sizes such as 12 meters, 13.75 meters, etc., but 13
meters is the standard and commonly used size.
Width: The width is generally between 2.4 meters and 2.55 meters,
and some special purpose plate semi-trailers may be wider.
Height: The height of the flat semi-trailer is relatively low to
facilitate the loading of goods, usually around 1.5 meters, but if
it is a low flat semi-trailer, the height of the cargo table may be
lower to meet the needs of transporting special goods such as large
machinery and equipment.
Purpose:
Transportation construction machinery: Due to the flat structure of
the flat semi-trailer, it is very suitable for transporting
excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes and other construction
machinery. These machines are usually large, heavy, and
non-removable, and the flat semi-trailer can provide a stable
transport platform for them.
Transportation of large equipment: such as wind turbine blades,
transformers, large tanks and other large equipment, also need to
use flat semi-trailer for transportation. The size and weight of
such goods are beyond the carrying range of ordinary trucks, and
the large size and flat loading surface of flat semi-trailers can
meet the transportation requirements of these special goods.
Transport of steel and other goods: the flat semi-trailer can also
be used to transport steel, wood, cement and other construction
materials and industrial raw materials. These goods can usually be
placed directly on flat plates for easy loading and unloading and
transportation.
